Re-design for “CphVoice” a citizen journalism website (by using the ning.com, a platform to build a social network
What kind of communication challenges is the Copenhagen voice involved in?
The challenges of The Copenhagen Voice are to expand culture and get a major diffusion on the web. Considerations: to reach more people, some elements of the web site need to be implemented.
It is important to consider that to maintain a positive effect of the entire communication strategy of the brand, the site has to be properly targeted, and maintained in order to communicate its unique message.
We started to bring changes on the logo which must represent news that spreads all around the world, but still, as the concept is about ”Community News Reporting from Denmark” so the user must feel also that is about news from Denmark.

I first did a research on the elements that characterize the citizen journalism, such as the loud speaker to transmit a clear voice, the Iphone to emphasize the concept of video streaming proposed. The bike representative of the dynamic and of the mass motion of the cycling citizen, and the red color of the geographic representation of the Capital to remind of the red flag of Denmark.

The logo was approved by the group but as a logo needs to be essential and unique I have played more wth the elements: the tyre, the smartphone, Denmark, the world, the news:


II PHASE
As the content of the site is rich in boxes, videos, articles, posts and links with the same shape and colors not ordered which create an impersonal impact and create confusion, we thought to reorganize the structure, ordered in a way to identify quickly the “good stuff” people has to focus on.
Here some of the experiments did with the colors using the same platform ning.com:


- This is the individual part I have developed under my personal taste, objective and subjective criteria, maintaining the same colors, layout but with a new fresh and unique touch.
